Solved: Magento Error - 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable

Well! It seems the more I work with Magento, the more i hate it.

While installing an extension via magento connect, the installation failed and returned a permission error.

thats cool. except the site now shows:

"Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."

Long story short, Magento creates a file maintenance.flag in the Magento installation path.
This file is usually created during extension install so the system detects its under maintenance.

HOWEVER, by some reason or another, the file wasn't remove after the extension installation.
So look for that file "maintenance.flag" in your magento root and remove it.

I hope this helped anyone who chanced upon this site googling around.
Good Luck!
